About us

It all began with a simple question that Almaty had no good answer to for a long time: where do you go with the whole family when you want real cooking, calm and respect for your principles at once?

Places like this used to be chosen by what was left over: either comfort or principles. We decided that compromise was not necessary.

We do not have a bar and we do not plan to. We believe that the absence of alcohol does not make a place simpler, duller or cheaper.

We did not put the kitchen together from whatever was at hand: we went looking for the best. Our founders travelled to Europe themselves to choose recipes that were genuinely worth it.

The name says it: Talks is about conversation.

This is a long breakfast, the kind where nobody checks the clock.
This is a dinner with the whole family, where everyone is heard.
This is the meeting that was worth leaving the house for.

We have made a place where values and the pleasure of life finally meet at one table.
